Broadening access to quality education: Brazil has one of the highest household income differences in the world between complete vs. incomplete postsecondary education degree, which makes basic education a top priority in household spending. Rede Decisão aims to fulfill the gap by offering a more accessible and inclusive private education , providing students with an equitable and quality primary and secondary learning environment. The Company also engages with the students’ families and local communities, both within the schools and in the surrounding areas.
Increasing students’ earning potential: Rede Decisão’s students are able to achieve equivalent ENEM (standardized Brazilian national exam) scores to those obtained by schools with 2x higher tuition. The ENEM score is required for admission to high-quality postsecondary education in Brazil (many of which are free-of-charge public institutions), broadening the students’ opportunities both at professional and personal levels with subsequent higher earning potential. The Company also offers a large variety of extracurricular activities beyond the core curriculum, which is not common in K-12 schools with comparable tuition fees, including culture, sports, a bilingual program, preparatory classes for work skills (business and computing), and scholastic competitions.
Commitment to supporting vulnerable children and youth: Rede Decisão has a comprehensive scholarship policy to support students based on socioeconomic status and academic excellence. The Company also provides sibling discounts and full scholarships to the employees’ children. In addition, Rede Decisão has partnerships with NGOs aiming to provide scholarships to vulnerable children and youth at risk.
Fostering faculty qualification and diversity: Rede Decisão places a strong emphasis on academic quality, providing its faculty with many opportunities for career growth within the schools as well as at the corporate level. The Company has developed a structured and comprehensive multi-year training program for all employees at different positions on a recurring basis. Through a differentiated selection process, Rede Decisão seeks to promote a diverse and inclusive environment not only at its faculty level, but also within its entire corporate structure and schools.
